MILWAUKEE, WI— After weeks of a public fight, and negotiations, Milwaukee police officers marched on city hall to push for a new union contract. Negotiations have continued since the end of 2022, the end of the last union contract.
Officers, off duty at the time, wore shirts and carried signs demanding that the city pay them what they believe they deserve.
“The mayor has not given us a raise in three years,” Milwaukee Police Association President Alex Ayala said.
