The city manager and police union president met Friday and made amends for comments they made during a disagreement about a new employee time-tracking system.
Galveston Municipal Police Association President Anthony Rogers caused a stir Wednesday with a social media post insinuating a personal relationship at city hall had caused issues for the police department. Many islanders took the message to mean City Manager Brian Maxwell was having an affair, which Rogers on Friday said wasn’t what he was implying by the “personal relationship” comment.
